Earth resistance is influenced by several factors, including soil resistivity, moisture, temperature, electrode arrangement and the overall design of the grounding system. Simply installing a larger earthing conductor does not automatically guarantee a particular earth resistance value. Proper engineering, installation and testing are important. For any project, earth resistance targets should be established according to the applicable design and project requirements.
